Christ's Church Fellowship has its roots in various cultural and denominational backgrounds. From the beginning, Christ's Church Fellowship has linked together with believers from the Stone/Campbell restoration movement, mainline Evangelical denominations, and some from classic Pentecostal and Charismatic roots. Originally established in 1988, C.C.F. had its most direct roots from the Conference on Spiritual Renewal birthed in Nashville, Tennessee. Perhaps the most significant leader in CCF history was President Jeff Crabtree. Former President Crabtree continues his ministry as Senior Pastor of Life Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. After his resignation in 2001, the national organization soon became dormant in 2002. As a former member of CCF, Pastor David Holdridge continued the CCF tradition, logo, and web presence with his church, Resurrection Tabernacle in Albuquerque, NM and later in Owensboro, Kentucky. A number of African churches presently under the leadership of Pastor Yotam Daka of Zambia also continued in the CCF tradition and in early 2007, Presiding Bishop David Holdridge then of Resurrection Cathedral (formerly Resurrection Tabernacle) agreed to re-incorporate CCF with a synod of Bishops in Apostolic Succession. Numerous churches worldwide are presently affiliated and regional directors are reaching out to new churches and those previously affiliated.
